What is so important about your pelvic floor muscles and how do they relate to your core activation? Good Question!

The pelvic floor is a group of muscles that attaches to the bones at the bottom of your pelvis. This group of muscles are part of the bodies “CORE”. These muscles effectively form a hammock across the base of your pelvis that supports the internal organs including the bowel and Bladder. A strong pelvic floor gives you more control over your bladder and bowels. But that is not the only role that pelvic muscle grou

p plays. An activated and strong pelvic floor works to stabilize the hip joints and assist’s in right posture and weight bearing. Another function that the pelvic floor muscles perform when activated they work as as a lymphatic pump. IF the pump does not function it’s backs up. Creating acidic environment throughout the entire body.

This little group of muscles underneath your spine are paramount to maintaining alignment through out the entire body. Misalignment created dysfunction in all of the systems of your body. Including breathing, hearing, seeing, digestion and movement. Treat the Source not the Symptom.
